Company Management

Bruce Counts

President, CEO, Director

Mr. Counts has over 25 years’ experience in international diamond exploration and more than 16 as a director and senior officer of publicly traded mineral exploration companies. He was directly involved in the discovery of several kimberlite fields including the Lac de Gras field which is host to the Ekati Diamond Mine in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a registered Professional Geoscientist.

Dwight Walker

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Walker has over 30 years of experience in finance and administration with the last 10 years in the mining sector. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer of several public companies. Mr. Walker was the CFO of ECU Silver Mining Inc, an emerging Mexico-based silver producer that managed a workforce of 500 employees and operated two mills before the company was sold through a plan of arrangement transaction valued at over $300 million. Mr. Walker is currently the CFO for Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. He has a Bachelors's of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is a CGA.

Jo Price


Ms. Price, M.Sc., MBA, P.Geo., has 20+ years of experience as an exploration geologist and project manager. She has worked on multiple gold, poly-metallic, and graphite projects in the USA, Australia, and Canada. During her career, Jo has managed multi-million dollar exploration programs overseeing technical direction, budgets, and operations. She has extensive experience in field operations, drill programs, technical database administration, land management, community relations, and exploration permitting in multiple jurisdictions.

Lon Shaver


Mr. Shaver, CFA, has 25 years of capital markets and corporate experience, mostly focused on the Canadian mining sector. This includes serving as Senior VP Investment Banking with Raymond James for over 10 years where he completed numerous financing and M&A mandates. Prior to Raymond James, he was a research associate and mining analyst with various institutional sell-side firms. Mr. Shaver’s corporate experience includes CFO roles with a publicly-listed mining company and a private technology company. He is currently a principal of Brighton Corporate Advisors. Mr. Shaver has a B.Comm. degree from Concordia University and is a CFA charter holder.

Michael Sweatman


Mr. Sweatman possesses over 30 years of experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA CA) in public and private practice and has worked with and provided advice to many companies listed on the TSX Venture and Toronto Stock Exchanges. Mr. Sweatman was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 1982 and the Yukon in 1990. He was the principal of Michael Sweatman Limited, Chartered Accountant, from 1999 until 2015 and has operated MDS Management Ltd., a Vancouver-based management consulting and investment company, since November 1992. In addition, Mr. Sweatman has served as a director and officer of a number of public companies over the past 25 years.


Dave Skelton


Dave is a Professional Geologist with more than 30 years experience in the mineral exploration industry. He was Vice President Project Development for Stornoway Diamond Corporation when the company advanced the Renard Mine in Quebec into production and has extensive experience managing projects over the full range of exploration activities from grassroots to underground evaluation. Dave is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.Sc. Geology (1987).

Rahim Kassim-Lakha

Capital Markets Advisor

Rahim is the founder and CEO of Blue Sail Capital; a capital markets advisory firm focused the mining industry. He has more than 24 years of experience in financial markets and has been instrumental in more than $5 billion of transactions. Rahim has served in senior and executive roles for Fidelity Capital, US Global Investors, GMP, National Bank, Desjardins and Salman Partners.

Dr. Robert Carpenter, Ph.D., P.Geo.

Technical Advisor

Rob is a Professional Geoscientist with over 25 years of technical and executive experience for junior and major mining companies. He was co-founder and President and CEO of Kaminak Gold Corporation from 2005 to 2013 and led the company through the acquisition, discovery and maiden resource of the multi-million-ounce Coffee Gold Project that was subsequently acquired by Goldcorp Inc in 2016.

Rob has received awards from the Association for Mineral Exploration of British Columbia for excellence in mineral exploration (2013) and social and environmental stewardship (2008). He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Western Ontario in 2004 where he worked on the newly discovered Meliadine Lake gold deposits that are currently owned by Agnico Eagle.

Allison Rippin-Armstrong

ESG Advisor

Allison is a biologist and environmental scientist with over 25 years of experience in permitting, regulatory processes and environmental compliance as well as working with working with Indigenous organizations, resource companies, regulatory agencies, indigenous, territorial, and federal governments.

Allison currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tectonic Metals Inc. as well as the Board of Yukon Women in Mining as Vice President. She also assists Lucara Diamond Corp. with all ESG matters, including the development of the sustainability department at the Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana. Previously, Allison served as the Vice President of Sustainability at Kaminak Gold Corp. until it was acquired by Goldcorp in 2016.  She is a founding member of the Yukon University Foundation Board and has served on NWT and Nunavut Chambers of Mines. Allison is the recipient of several awards, including the Robert E Leckie Award (2015) and the BC Women in Mining H R Diversity Award (2019).
